 How to post pictures
« Thread Started on Mar 20, 2006, 10:59pm »

First you need a host for your pictures. Go to www.photobucket.com and register with them. (it's free)

1. Fill out the registration form and choose a username and password, and click continue.

2. When your registration is completed, click where it says: (Click HERE to go to your album).

3. Here you will find 3 (browse) buttons. Click a (BROWSE) button - This will open up your computer files to where your photos are stored (my pictures) (my documents) etc.

4. Locate the picture that you want to post and double click on the image. (you will see it appear as a tiny image on the photobucket page - just left of the browse button) .
If you want to upload more than 3 photos at a time, click on the (add more) button - this will give you several more (browse) buttons and just repeat the process until you have all your photos ready to upload.

5. Once your image has successfully loaded to photobucket, scroll down and locate your picture. There will be 4 boxes stacked beneath your picture. (email) - (Direct Link) - (HTML Tag) - (IMG CODE) Single left Click on the bottom box (IMG CODE). It will become highlighted.

6. Once the box is highlighted, right click on the highlighted box, select copy, and then paste this in your thread on the swamp.

3.We have a size limitation of 640x480. If you are unsure of the file size of your photo, go to where your picture is stored ie, (my pictures, my documents etc) and place your pointer over the image. A window will appear that reads: dimensions 640X480 or something similar. If your picture shows a higher number than 640X480 it will need to be re-sized.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR RE-SIZING PICTURES:
After you have uploaded your picture to photobucket - there will be a few boxes above your picture. (move) (edit) (delete) (share) etc. click the (edit) button. Your picture will then appear with multiple choices above the image. Click on (RESIZE) - choose the (WEBSITE - EMAIL) option - then click (OK). Your picture will be automatically resized ;D

When I told my Papp & Mam that I was going to the woods to hunt & trap and be a mountainman, they acted like they was gutshot. They said son... You should stay in town - It's here is where the peoples is.
